Feltes joined University of Illinois Extension in 1978 and holds an undergraduate degree in agronomy from Southern Illinois University and a master's in that field from the University of Illinois. Feltes works with farmers and public agencies to provide leadership on such topics as identification and management of weed and insect pests, control methods, economics of pest management. Feltes is based at the Quad Cities Extension Center.
