Edward Feser is Associate Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he teaches courses in state and local economic development policy and methods of urban and regional analysis. His research focuses on the forces influencing the growth, decline, economic adjustment, and industrial restructuring of cities and regions. In 2004 he directed the development of a broadband deployment strategy for Illinois titled /Illinois Online: Recommendations for Universal Broadband Access/ (2004). He is currently serving a two-year term on the Illinois Broadband Deployment Council.
