Robert Lieberman

Robert Lieberman is one of five Commissioners on the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). Commissioners are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Illinois State Senate for a five-year term. Lieberman assumed Commissionership in February 2005 and his term will end in January 2010. The ICC recently announced the Digital Divide Elimination Infrastructure Request for Grant Proposals.

Lieberman served as the manager of the Division of Energy and Environment Assessment at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. He was the director of the Office of Research and Planning, Manager of the Energy Planning Section and Policy Analyst for the Office of Coal Development (1979 ­ 1997). From 1998 ­ 2005, Robert was the CEO for the Center for Neighborhood Technology.

Lieberman earned a B.A. from Oakland University and M.P.P in Public Policy Studies at the University of Michigan.
