Martin MacDowell, DrPH, MBA
Assistant Director for Health Professions Education, University of Illinois at Rockford

Dr. MacDowell is currently Assistant Director for Health Professions Education, Assoc. Professor at the National Center for Rural Health Professions, Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Illinois at Rockford, Rockford, IL. He has previously served on the faculty of the Xavier University Graduate Program in Health Services Administration. He currently participates in development of interdisciplinary courses, presentations, and curriculum related to rural health professions, RMED and is on the faculty of the MPH program. He has completed numerous publications on health services research and public health topics. He serves as consultant/advisor related to the operations and marketing of the university’s clinical services. He is involved as co-director in implementing two aspects of a NIH grant rural health disparities grant. His interests include application of health information technology, analysis of health care utilization and other health status characteristics.
