How to Create and Lead an Energized Community
David Beurle, Innovative Leadership Australia

Rural communities around the world have found a multitude of ways to reinvent themselves, reinvigorate leadership, and create the communities that they always wished they could be. David Beurle describes case examples and the processes used by communities to engage leaders, create opportunities for development, and lead an energized community development process. David provides examples of local leadership and towns which have “reinvented” themselves to create a thriving local economy and community. A foundation of these changes is developing community leadership and designing an effective community decision making structure and process. Current issues in this example community include business expansion, lobbying for new medical facilities, and job creation.
