Players and the Politics of Change – Case Studies
Jeff Moss, Illinois Leadership Center
Rubina Khan, Illinois Student Environmental Network

The morning breakout session, Players and the Politics of Change, led by Dr. Jeff Moss, describes the roles players face in change situations, and how to identify those roles. This afternoon session will hone in on how two organizations and the leaders of those organizations dealt with the roles of Sponsor, Agent, Target and Advocate in the face of change. Experience is the greatest teacher! The case studies will provide specific examples which illustrate the process of change and the roles of leadership in managing change. The case studies describe how these key players identified roles and players, and determined which role they fit into best. You can learn how to lead your organization through the politics of change by following the advice of those who have gone before you.

Attending the morning Leadership Learning breakout session (Players and the Politics of Change), is recommended but not required.
